This is a technique-based class which emphasizes strength, flexibility and conditioning. Dancers will execute jazz progressions, including tricks, turns and leaps. This is a developmental class; this class does not have a dance in the Gala.

Ballet/Jazz Combo (Ages 3-5)

Little ones will explore both ballet and jazz in a fun and nurturing environment. Students will be introduced to ballet terminology, positions of the feet, and basic beginning ballet steps. Dancers will learn beginning jazz steps and will explore themselves through movement and creativity. Dancers will perform a ballet dance on stage at our Spring Gala.

This is an intermediate ballet class focusing on barre work, center exercises and across the floor combinations.

Pre-Pointe (Ages 9-14)

8:00PM – 8:45PM
Pre-pointe is for ballet students who are not yet wearing pointe shoes. This class develops and strengthens the muscles necessary to go “en pointe.” Pre-pointe class stresses correct alignment and correct classical ballet technique. Pre-pointe class also allows teachers to assess readiness to begin pointe.

This class focuses on the technique and strength required to execute ballet steps and choreography while wearing pointe shoes both at the barre and centre. Dancers will perform a piece on stage in our Spring Gala.

Dancers will learn a variety of ballroom styles, including Smooth (Standard) and Rhythm (Latin). Dancers will learn a fun, ballroom dance to perform in the Spring Gala.
